Terms of Service

4.1 Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the ChurchConnect website and platform. By accessing or using ChurchConnect, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of a church, ministry, or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.

4.2 About the service

ChurchConnect is a software-as-a-service platform designed to support church administration, communication, visitor tracking, member management, onboarding, discipleship monitoring, and related operational workflows. We may update, enhance, or modify features from time to time as part of ongoing product development.

4.3 Eligibility and account responsibility

You must provide accurate information when registering or requesting access. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials, managing access permissions for your team, and ensuring that authorised users use the service in accordance with these terms and applicable law.

4.4 Acceptable use

You must not misuse the platform. This includes attempting unauthorised access, interfering with service security or availability, uploading unlawful content, infringing intellectual property rights, sending spam or abusive communications, or using the service in a way that could harm us, the platform, or other users.

4.5 Customer data

You retain responsibility for the data your organisation uploads to or manages within ChurchConnect. You must ensure that you have the lawful right to collect and use that data, including any personal data relating to members, visitors, staff, volunteers, or other individuals. Where applicable, separate data processing terms may apply.

4.6 Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed in line with the pricing and billing terms presented at the point of purchase or in your subscription agreement. You agree to provide valid payment details and authorise us or our payment provider to collect the applicable charges. Late or failed payments may result in suspension of access until payment is resolved.

4.7 Trials and plan changes

Any free trial, promotional access, or discounted plan may be subject to separate conditions. We may change or withdraw trial offers at any time. If you move to a paid subscription, the then-current pricing and billing cycle will apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.8 Availability and support

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability at all times. Scheduled maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages, or events beyond our reasonable control may affect access. We will use reasonable efforts to maintain service continuity and provide appropriate support channels.

4.9 Intellectual property

All rights, title, and interest in ChurchConnect, including the software, branding, website content, design, documentation, and related materials, remain owned by or licensed to us, except for customer data and any third-party materials that remain subject to their own ownership terms.

4.10 Confidentiality

Each party should treat non-public business, technical, operational, and customer information received from the other party as confidential and use it only as reasonably necessary for the relationship, unless disclosure is required by law or the information is already lawfully public.

4.11 Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where there is a serious breach of these terms, unlawful activity, security risk, non-payment, or other justified reason. You may stop using the service and request cancellation in accordance with your subscription terms. On termination, rights granted under these terms will end, subject to any provisions that are intended to survive termination.

4.12 Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as available" basis. While we work to keep the platform useful, secure, and reliable, we do not guarantee that it will meet every requirement, be uninterrupted, or be completely free from defects at all times.

4.13 Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service shall be limited to the fees paid by the customer for the relevant subscription period immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or another amount expressly agreed in writing. We will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or loss of data, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

4.14 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales unless another jurisdiction is expressly stated in your contract. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer or data protection law.
